Watford have managed to recover from their poor form, according to manager Quique Sanchez Flores.

Flores was taken aback to witness his team shredded to pieces in the 4-0 loss against Arsenal. The team appeared to have gone into hibernation ever since qualifying for the FA Cup semi-final after a stunning victory over Arsenal. They will be up against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final and it gives Watford a great opportunity to go to the final. Flores admitted that the FA Cup may have provided some distraction to the team, but he wanted the players to realise the bread-and-butter.

The club managed a 1-1 draw with Everton during the weekend. This helped them arrest a slide that started with the narrow loss against Manchester United a few weeks ago. Watford went on to lose four straight matches. The team are only two points away from reaching the 40 point mark, but they already may feel that their Premier League status for next season is secure. The likes of Sunderland and Newcastle have not been picking up enough points to threaten Watford as of now. It looked like Watford were going to experience more of disappointment when James McCarthy helped Everton take a lead at halftime.

Watford will be experiencing a date at Wembley on April 24 when they take on Crystal Palace. "It was a fair result. The most important thing for us was to have the feeling that we had the legs and the power. So I’m happy. It’s like we forgot a little to be competitive in the Premier League. We were competitive in the FA Cup and it’s time to recuperate that power - this team has played really well this season. The players knew the plan of defending high and sometimes creating opportunities in attack,” said Flores.
